How RuneTopic rankings work

RuneTopic’s organic monthly toplist is driven by legitimate community votes. Our aim is to show player support clearly while keeping promotional products separate from organic rank.

Monthly rankings

Active listings are ordered by their current monthly vote total. Rankings update as accepted votes are recorded and monthly totals reset at the start of each calendar month. Daily snapshots preserve rank movement for trends and server statistics.

Verified voting

RuneTopic applies its voting interval and security checks before activity is accepted into public metrics. Suspicious attempts can be flagged, quarantined, blocked or removed during later auditing. Server owners can use monitored callbacks to reward accepted votes.

We explain the outcome of these protections publicly, but never publish thresholds, fingerprints, risk rules or other details that could help someone bypass them.

Premium does not buy organic rank

Paying for Premium does not purchase an organic monthly ranking position. Premium can provide clearly presented advertising, enhanced listing styles, animated GIF banners, badges and other promotional tools. The normal toplist position remains based on legitimate votes.

Discovery awards

Server of the Month celebrates the monthly result. Server of the Day is a separate discovery feature selected from eligible live servers with recent verified activity and acceptable aggregate integrity. It includes a cooldown so the number-one server does not simply win every day, and Premium does not guarantee selection.

Public transparency

  • Server profiles show verified 24-hour activity, seven-day votes, monthly votes and rank movement.
  • Statistics pages publish accepted and rejected/removed aggregate totals without voter identities.
  • Inactive listings are removed from lists and sitemaps; renamed listings use targeted redirects.
  • Rules apply to Premium and non-Premium listings alike.
